Project

Website + Branding

Industry

Business Coach

Timeline

6 weeks

Overview

Adrienn recently finished her training and received the EMCC’s EQA Senior Practitioner accreditation. In order to start her business she needed her own brand and a website where clients could get more information about her and could reach her.

She has seen the work we’ve done for a personal trainer who she did coaching sessions with and decided to reach out to us to.

In this project we helped her take her first steps as an entrepreneur with a one-page website and a simple, authentic brand that reflects her personality.

High-level goals

01

To create a simple, cost-effective and easy to manage  website

02

Do it in a manner which represents her authentically, without overcomplicating things

The Challenge

Adrienn came to us with a big goal: to kick off her new coaching business and start attracting clients. The challenge? She had no prior online presence, limited knowledge of digital tools and zero experience running a business.

We also encountered an unexpected challenge: both the client and us had personal obligations which meant that we faced some delays. Despite this, the collaboration stayed smooth and positive throughout, but we had to reschedule some meetings and move the launch date to a later date.

The Process

Our roadmap was divided into four key phases:

  1. Introductory call

We kicked things off with an introductory call to understand Adrienn’s goals, her coaching services and the kind of clients she hoped to attract.

  2. Discovery, Branding and Look & Feel Explorations

From there, we facilitated a brand strategy process, developing a logo, color palette, font pairings and tone of voice that felt true to her. We also held 3 Look & Feel workshops to finalise the design direction.

  3. High-Fidelity Design in Figma

We moved into Figma and designed a streamlined one-pager. The copy was crafted to highlight her unique value and warm presence, while the layout was kept minimal and inviting.

  4. Development in Webflow

Once the design was approved by the client, we developed the site in Webflow and used GSAP to add subtle, modern animations that brought it to life.

The roadmap starting in April and finishing in June

Introductory call

This call had 2 main goals: to help the client learn more about us and for us to learn more about her goals and the project in general.

We went over why a business needs a website, what our processes are, a possible timeline and a roadmap. We also talked about what information is important for her clients to see.

Throughout our conversation we found that she didn’t need a CMS at this point as she wasn’t looking to operate a blog or focus on SEO as much. At the end we gave the recommendation to start small: a simple website that is easy to maintain and cheap to operate.

The two selected brand archetypes: the sage and the innocent

Discovery, Branding and Look & Feel Explorations

As our client was starting from scratch we felt that it helped her a lot to spend more time in the process developing her brand identity. We held multiple workshops in this phase to make sure we get it right.

During our discovery and branding talks it became clear to us that she liked minimal and clean aestethics and was drawn to traditional settings both in tone and looks.

Based on our findings we initially created 6 distinct look and feels with both desktop and mobile views. We selected 2 of them for further trial and errors, which led to more exploration and helped us finalise the design direction.

Final Design

In one of our workshops Adrienn mentioned that the two most important thing for a coach and a coachee to have is sympathy and trust. She also mentioned that this is why images of her is very important on the site.

So it became very apparent what we should focus on: strong typography and big imagery, with a sprinkle of playfulness.

The end design showcases her in a professional setting and her personality through the traditional looking font pairing and the feminine color usage, while also being playful with showing different versions of her logo throughout the site - this is all tied together with a bit of a noisy background and animations that react to user scroll

Development in Webflow

For the last stage we moved into Webflow to develop the site.

Since she wasn’t going to use a CMS we made sure to give every class semantic names so it is readable in the designer. During development she also asked for one more section to be added, which we quickly iterated in Figma and developed after throughout 2 days.

The Outcome

The result is a clean, personality-driven website that drives Adrienn’s business from day one. She’s now equipped with a brand and a site that reflects who she is, while also sets her up to grow confidently.

Key Learnings

The good, the bad and the ugly: insights that we will keep in mind for future projects.

Handover process

The client does not know how to operate a webstite, tutorial videos/documents/talks/meetings are important

Hungarian domain providers

Clients are not tech savvy people, it helps them a lot to workshop with them to get them in flow. They also feel more rewarded at the end since they worked on the project themselves.
